FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO BECOME FILMMAKER OF THE WEEK
What You Do
1. Female filmmakers can submit videos. Men are eligible to submit a video if the film was directed,
written, shot, edited or produced by a woman. Male submissions must give credit to the woman
in name and role in the 50 word description listed below.

or donate a minimum of $20.
a. If you buy a shirt(s), specify in the comments section of the Payment Page that you want to be
The X-Factor Filmmaker of the Week.
b. If you donate to the film fund just send Rick at tracy@xfactorfilm.com that you want to be
The X-Factor Filmmaker of the Week.
3. Upload your 15 minute film, trailer, clip or reel to www.Vimeo.com. (see Rules below if your video is
over 15 min) If you are not familiar with Vimeo see the Need Help section below. Don’t worry it’s free!

d. The shirt style(s) you bought or the amount you donated and dates of either of those transactions
5. Sit back and let us promote your video*
Rules
X-Factor Filmmakers reserves the right to deny any filmmaker’s submitted work. Males can only submit
a video if the film was directed, written, shot, edited or produced by a woman. If the submission is a reel
then the artist must be female. Overly vulgar language or excessively sexual or violent content can
contribute to the decision to reject a video. In addition, if the video is over 15 minutes we cannot accept it.
If your film is over 15 minutes and you would still like to promote it, make a clip or a trailer and add a link
to the work in your 50 word or less blurb. We will contact you to let you know the date that you will be
named The X-Factor Filmmaker of the Week.
